Urban Trance

Urban trance describes the situation where people living in fast—paced cities may find themselves forgetting to press the button for their floor in an elevator or missing their subway stop because they are under great pressure or are too preoccupied with work.

2. Being too busy checking updates on the micro blog to realize that you are missing your stop on the subway.
3. Knowing someone by his/her ID on WeChat or Weibo, but forgetting his/her real name.
4. Forgetting to press the button for their floor in an elevator.

Pocket Skill

Pocket skills are skills that are needed in all workplaces, such as thinking skill and communications skill, no matter what industry you are in. For instance, thinking skill may help you quickly get the main idea of a report, point out the drawbacks and offer your advice for improvement; and when there is a disagreement or conflict, your communications skill may enable you to deal with it.
When hiring, many companies are more concerned about pocket skills such as teamwork than specific majors, except for research and development positions.

Suspended Coffee

Zero TV Families

Some people lose patience with TV. They’ve had enough of the 100-plus channel universe. They don’t like planning their lives around network show schedules. They’re tired of $100-plus monthly bills.
A growing number of them have stopped paying for cable and satellite TV service, and don’t even use an antenna to get free signals over the air. These people are watching shows and movies on the Internet, sometimes with cell phone connections. Last month, the Nielsen Co, started calling people in this group “Zero TV” families, because they fall outside the traditional definition of a TV home. There are 5 million of these people in the U. S., up from 2 million in 2007.
